Needle felting is the process of poking wool repeatedly with a barbed needle. During this process, the scales on the fibres become entangled and the wool begins to form a three dimensional shape. The more the wool is poked, the denser and more sculpted it becomes. With time and patience, the scope for creating detailed sculptures is pretty much endless!

Unfortunately, they are not, which is a shame since children love these little creatures! However, since needle felted items are delicate and small parts can come unattached when pulled, they’re for decorative purposes only. Also, when handled too much, the surface wool can quickly become fuzzy and lose its smooth appearance.

It depends on the individual piece, but each one can take anywhere from five to fifteen hours - or more. They’re labours of love, but I enjoy every minute of creating them!

At the moment, I don't take on commissions, but that might change in the future!

Sorry, I don't do pet portraits at this time.

I have taught a few workshops and I hope to do more in the future! If and when I do, I will announce it both on this website and my Instagram page.
